Yes January can certainly be an odd month. For many it is a time for new ideas, changes and resolutions but with it comes the aftermath of the Christmas celebrations and the "what have I got to look forward to." Well here are my handty tips to get you through this long cold month.
1/. Plan a girls or lads night in where everyone brings left overs - cheap and lots of fun.
2/. Take up a hobby, or new exercise. These don't have to cost a fortune, joining a local book club at the library, or walking cost no money at all and keep your mind active and increase seratonin levels (the happy hormone).
3/. Lack of sunshine can cause you to get depressed - taking a Vitamin D supplement can improve mood and prevent S.A.D disorder.
4/. Plan your year. Having things to look forward to helps to beat those January Blues. It also helps you budget.
5/. Put time aside for yourself. Relaxing with a book, having a hot bath and eating nutritiously all help with boosting your mood.
